Promoters of electronic music are also using ingenuity to go through coronavirus crisis.
This is the case of the Berlin clubs, which agreed to organize the United We Stream, a virtual initiative that “will open its doors” 24 hours a day starting this Wednesday, March 18 from 7:00 p.m.
People who want to participate will be able to make a voluntary donation in exchange for a virtual ticket, in order to raise money to prevent some emblematic clubs in the German capital from going bankrupt along with some 9000 employees.
“In response to the fact that the clubs in Berlin are closed and the rest of the world is in quarantine, Berlin declares its solidarity and brings the largest digital club to your home,” says a statement by United We Stream.
The initiative was promoted by the Berlin Club Commission and Reclaim Club Culture in conjunction with platforms such as radioeins, ifbbw or Alex TV, among others.
