Klas-Henrik Lindblad, better known as Freestyle Man or Sasse, is that restless Finn who never stops creating, producing, editing and… A tireless creator, one of his best known facets is being the visible head of Mood Music records, a label based in Berlin where each new reference is a point of interest in the contemporary musical universe.
As in every release, originality and creativity are present in this EP called Marinair 3. In this work, different flavours come together. On the one hand, the debut of Tim Sean-Lee, a veteran German dj, born in Heidelberg and based in Berlin, with a long experience in German clubs, his last residency being at the legendary Provocateur Berlin. Tim offers us an interesting piece of Detroit Electro called Impuls, aimed at the dancefloor.
In second place comes the Finnish representation with another veteran of the electronic scene of that country, Toumas Salmela, better known as Phonogenic, with the track entitled Arcsec Resolution, also with a rhythmic base that could also have its origins in Electro but that becomes a much more experimental listening.
To close the EP, Mood Records boss Klas-Henrik Lindblad (this time as Freestyle Man) offers us Hennewald, an electronic track with approximations to acid sounds. With no strings attached, Klas-Henrik transports us to other glorious past times of analogue when its beauty.
Another interesting experience, where creativity expresses itself without pressure from current fashions or commercial interference. Available for purchase here
