On the verge of his tenth anniversary as a producer, Feel EP is the new work of Australian producer Retza. From Melbourne, the DJ and producer caresses our ears with four Deep House tracks of extraordinary elegance and good taste, without losing sight of his main objective, the dancefloor.
On October 8th and through the young Lisbon label Satya Records founded by YokoO, Retza delivers four tracks without a bit of waste or useless filler. Waiting To Go opens the EP, with a complex and effective rhythm accompanied by synth pads executed in an almost jazzy way. It is followed by Nene, pure House of many carats, which brings back memories of those impressive Vladislav Delay records in his Luomo mode, with great emotional intensity. Hip returns to the coordinates of the first cut, with full percussion patterns and waves of highly danceable pads. To close, Feel (Sometimes) fills the space with dreamy classic house driven by a tremendous bassline that could play forever in any Ibiza club.
At certain times, releases like Retza’s are tremendously welcome, with clear, well-defined landscapes, as much as their intentions, to make the listener dance.
