The year 2021 is witnessing some important label anniversaries. If we recently announced Moodmusic’s twenty-fifth anniversary celebrations, today we are doing the same with another important name in the industry. Palette Recordings, the label created and run by John Tejada, with more than seventy references in its catalogue, reaches its silver anniversary. Long gone is the year 1996, when Tejada released the first reference with Waxing.
To celebrate the anniversary, the Austrian-born and Angeleno DJ and producer has chosen to remaster and remix a classic from the Palette catalogue, the 32nd release entitled Mono On Mono. The original has received that sonic upgrade in the form of remastering and for the remix he has chosen one of the best for the job… because no one can argue that Robag Wruhme is one of the best.
Also Tejada’s label mate at Kompakt Records, and after having released a tremendous EP a few days ago on his label Tulpa Ovi, Gabor Schablitzki aka Robag Wruhme attacks the original with his trademark weaponry. Respecting the melody and the original pattern, Robag deconstructs the rhythmic base and restructures it with new life to complete another of his excellent remixes.
Two highly reliable artists to celebrate the twenty-five years of life of Palette Recordings. Long life and may it continue to celebrate anniversaries.
