Alexey Guskov aka Nightdrive was born in the village of Isakly, Russia, Samara region. He had a passion for music since childhood, graduated from a music school in the accordion class, and started studying electronic music relatively recently, after moving from Samara to St. Petersburg in September 2015. Since those beginnings, Alexey has not limited himself to any particular genre, ranging from Disco House to Electro and Techno. His first single was released in 2016 on Ivan Startsev’s Soviett label (in fact, Ivan paved his way into the world of electronic music, offering him to record something for the label). For almost 5 years they have been cooperating together, and Nightdrive also has several dozens of collections, cassettes and collaborations with many Russian and international labels.

 

 

Now he opens the year 2022 for Citizens Of Vice with an EP called Improvisation, which will be released on January 28th. House, Jazz, Ambient and Balearic fill this new EP, full of elegance and sonic silk, from which we offer as a premiere the track that closes the release, Melatonin Dream. Sunset vibrations in a Balearic key, a smooth sound artifact that leaves evidence of Alexey’s artistic progression.
