Creation Stories, the new movie about Creation Records, the independent record label behind My Bloody Valentine, Oasis, the Jesus & Mary Chain, and Primal Scream, will premiere at the virtual Glasgow Film Festival on February 24 before a wider release on March 29 in the UK. It will arrive in the United States on March 20, via Sky Cinema. Creation Records, apart from its pop and rock catalogue, played an important part in the dance / electronic scene at the end of the eighties and beginning of the nineties with releases like Screamadelica from Primal Scream or the albums and singles of some other bands like Fluke, Hypnotone, Love Corporation…

The film will reunite again two old friends from Trainspotting, filmmaker Danny Boyle as an executive producer and Irvine Welsh, the writer who scripted the new film. It´s directed by Nick Moran (Telstar: The Story of Joe Meek and The Kid) and the script is based on McGee’s memoir book The Creation Records Story: Riots, Raves and Running a Label. Another Trainspotting crew member (Spud), the great actor Ewan Bremmer, is in the lead role as Alan McGee.

With such a team involved in the film, we´re looking forward to watch it.
