In this case, he is a leading producer of the latest batch of d`n`b artists, and perhaps the most legendary label of the style. The protagonist is Jonathan Pathan, better known as Mitekiss, a Londoner who has been sculpting his skills for a couple of decades, starting out in all this when he was just fifteen years old. He began releasing tracks in 2014, and a couple of years later, with a track called Void, he caught the attention of the capital’s underground scene and began to rise unstoppably.
Along the way, he founded a record label, Goldfat Records, and in 2018 he released his first album, Crate Six Seven, on one of the most important drum and bass labels, Hospital Records.
And now comes his second album for the label founded by the legendary London Elektricity, of which some previews have already been released and this Friday, February 18th, the last of them, Flep, arrives. The album is titled Bolivian Hotel Bistro and is released a week later on February 25th.
Known throughout the drum and bass community for his enchanting liquid breaks, on this album Mitekiss further delves into a wealth of studio skills that go far beyond the sounds he is known for. Flep is a breakbeat garage track that represents everything that is in vogue in the UK underground scene today.
On the album, Mitekiss gives masterful strokes of his skills that go beyond pure d`n`b, be it Soulful, Liquid… for example, on the title track, the Londoner masterfully walks between House and Techno with overwhelming dexterity.
Flep is out on February 18th and Bolivian Hotel Bistro on February 25th, pre order available here
