We open the year continuing with the Moodmusic Records anniversary party, this time with the third installment of this series of fantastic gifts.
A new EP with new material from the label’s Berlin headquarters. To open the release comes Edmond Weinfeld, better known as Ed Ed, Offenbach-born, resident in the German capital, DJ, producer and remixer. Tale Of RAA is the track he has created for this EP, which starts with a firm rhythmic base that accompanies him all the way through, to which a synthesized and narcotic pattern is gradually added. It is a journey with several stops, with inspirations of distant scents from other latitudes.
The other track on the EP comes from the boss, in one of his most legendary aliases, as Freestyle Man. Klas-Henrik Lindblad is one of our favourite musicians, that’s why we have talked about him many times in 1051 Magazine, but in case anyone doesn’t know him…. legendary figure of the Finnish electronic music scene starting in the nineties, DJ, producer, studio wizard and founder of several labels.
This time he brings us Tour De Farce, whose original incarnation is anchored in dark disco, but now comes remixed by Katerina in a Melodymix that transforms the original into a hypnotic journey. Built on a constant pattern, the melody transports us to places of dancefloor glitter.
Helsinki-based Katerina Andonov, DJ, producer (with releases on Comeme, Running Back or Tigersushi, to name a few), and founder of Kotarak and Émotsiya (record labels), tweaks Freestyle Man’s fantastic original to deliver the first big surprise of the year, a rounded and complete track for the start of 2022, which we all hope will bring a hopeful change from previous years.
