Tired Voice is the name of the new work by Portsmouth, UK producer Dave Robertson, known internationally since 2009 as Reset Robot. As Dave Robertson began his career as a producer in 2004 and in 2009 he changed his artistic alias. During those years, he has released on labels such as Truesoul (sub-label of Drumcode) Mobilee or Suara, and this time his new EP is presented by another label of great prestige in the international underground scene, Poker Flat Recordings. The Hamburg label, founded by Steve Bug, will release on 22 April this new work by the Portsmouth producer, Tired Voice, which focuses on his characteristic melancholic sound, but also finds some unexplored nuances.
“The title track was written after I got my Moog Matriarch. The main synth line and the bass line I love the way they sound. It can be very inspiring when you get your hands on a new piece of hardware in the studio,” says Dave.
Elsewhere, Jinx was inspired by explorations on a Novation controller, connecting it to Reason to produce a deep pump that bubbles and boils with energy. Meig is an atmospheric burner with a strong emotional undercurrent, built around Arturia’s SEM VST.
