Hernan Cattaneo, the leading exponent of electronic music in Argentina, will present his biography today Tuesday 10 August at 18:00h (CEST) in Barcelona. The official presentation of El Sueño del DJ will take place at the Jaume Fuster Library and will be streamed live from the official Spanish Twitch channel of Aulart, an online educational platform that promotes education in the music sector. It will be attended by Javier Blánquez, journalist and music critic and author of Loops, and Marc Marzenit, CEO and founder of Aulart. Anyone will be able to follow the event online for free and participate by asking questions live.
Cattaneo published his memoirs last June to crown his 30th anniversary as a professional DJ and an inescapable reference in Argentine electronic music. The book, published by Editorial Planeta, is a first-person account of Hernan’s life from his childhood, and an example of how his passion for sharing music and fulfilling his dreams led him to become one of the stars of the global DJ elite.
The presentation will be moderated by Javier Blánquez, a journalist specialising in electronic music, and author of books of reference in the sector such as the two volumes of Loops, in which he deals with the history of electronic music in the 20th and 21st centuries. Also taking part will be Marc Marzenit, CEO of the e-learning platform Aulart, which offers online training with the most respected artists and professionals in the music industry, such as Hernan Cattaneo himself, Chris Liebing, Paco Osuna, and Hannes Bieger, among others.
