Internasjonal is a Norwegian-German label founded by Prins Thomas and Kai Fraeger, one of the founders of Word And Sound, which has been active since 2007. After all these years in which their catalogue has been filled with illustrious names from the international electronic scene, they have recently decided to launch their digital branch with with a huge line-up and a lot of new names and faces.
And that’s how it’s going to be in the last days of 2021 and the first days of 2022. This time, we get the Internasjonal Space Station Vol. 4 EP, with two artists, two original tracks and two remixes.
The first producer comes from Middlesborough, UK, and his name is REES, founder of Paradiso Records, who has been releasing his releases since 2019. New face, who debuts on Internasjonal with a track called Steel In Space, a Cosmic Disco cut with high rhythmic cadence that leaves no room for respite on the dancefloor. Sweeping bassline and cascading analogue sounds receive a remix by Prins Thomas that clears the original, clearing up the beautiful sonic chaos of the REES track without losing any of its original spirit.
The second artist and second track is Japan’s Millions Of Dead Sequencer, who bring their Awake Us, another Cosmic Disco cut but with a slightly darker aroma. DJ, producer and singer in a Hardcore Punk band in Tokyo, his Awake Us begins with a bouncy pattern that serves as the main track of the song. Once again on remixing duties is the boss, and Thomas slightly slows down the tempo of the original track to give it a signature sound, with an elegant rhythmic base with absolute respect for the original melody.
