From the beautiful island of Mallorca, and more specifically from Palma, comes the music of Iñaqui Hurtado Diaz, better known as Hurlee. A young DJ and producer who carries in his veins House in the most classic sense of the word, although sometimes he drifts towards Deep or even Disco. But always oriented and directed mercilessly to the dancefloor, and since 2017 he is also responsible for Poetry In Motion, a label he founded that year together with Tete de la Course, Paul Rudder and OUI aka Stefan Lyczewski.
On this occasion, the Palma native returns to the Berlin label founded by Chopstick & Johnjon, Suol Records, which has such an important list of names in its catalogue. He already recorded the EP La Touche for Suol in 2020, and this time he brings us Dubby Feelings, two new tracks.
OP Bass is the first one, which starts with a very House rhythmic pattern that, as it navigates through the track, gets more complicated and enriched, being accompanied by an effective bass line and soft synthesized pads. The melody easily transports us to any sunset in the Mallorcan producer’s homeland.
To close the EP comes Frankie Here, with another insistent rhythmic base and classic sounds, with melodic patterns that approach Deep House with delicacy to complete a hypnotic and highly danceable work.
Hurlee continues to build a consistent career with quality work, in a time when we often miss that good House that was so abundant in other times.
