Internasjonal Space Station vol 5

Internasjonal Space Station vol 5

Internasjonal Records continues to bring artists from the international underground scene to its catalogue, and at a good pace. Prins Thomas and Kai Fraeger‘s label releases a new instalment of this fun series called Space Station, the fifth, with another pack of artists from diverse backgrounds and, of course, a remix from the boss.

Let’s introduce the culprits of this fifth installment of Space Station. The first track is Aperitivo Cosmico, by Marseille’s Fred Berthet and Berlin-based DJ and producer Berny. Aperitivo Cosmico is a constant crescendo from the start, siren included, which serves as an introduction to Italo and Cosmic Disco rhythms, reminiscent of analog textures from other eras.

A precise percussion work, including bongos, opens My Brother Is A Raver, the beautiful cut brought by Lugovskiy, Ukrainian DJ and producer from Kyiv. Lugovskiy executes an impeccable exercise of Disco House with influences from warm latitudes and even Balearic passages, in a sonic artefact of an absolutely danceable rhythm.

Closing the EP is Atlantic Brain from Munich, a producer who is about to celebrate his two decades in the music business. Olivetti Dreams is the title of his contribution to this Space Station 5, with an edit by the Norwegian master of Cosmic. Thanks to that unmistakable touch, we enter outer space on a rhythmic journey that keeps us on the dancefloor and even gives us some acid patterns.

Space Station is turning out to be a highly recommendable series.
