Internasjonal travels to Poland

Internasjonal travels to Poland

From Koszlin, Poland, comes Marcin Lukaszewicz, better known as Das Komplex, in his debut for Internasjonal, one of our favourite labels from that country we love so much musically called Norway.

And who better to introduce us to this fun and eclectic Polish DJ and producer than His Majesty the Prince of Oslo (and head of Internasjonal along with Kai Fraeger), Prins Thomas:

“Being a huge personal favourite for quite some time with impressive releases on Paramida’s Love On The Rocks, Catz N Dogs Step Recordings and a couple of inclusions on DJ Harvey’s Mercury Rising compilations, I am very happy to announce this Das Komplex release for Internasjonal.

Marcin (as is his real name) sent me a bunch of tracks to choose from and then after initial selection, a bit of hard choice and some final edits we present to you this beauty!”

Perfect definition of this EP. It opens with the title track, Pillow Stories, a Disco House with a big piano that then breaks the classic mould with trembling and haunting sounds. Dancefloor on fire instantly. Then comes Gdziekolwiek, which enters powerfully but gradually relaxes the initial impetus to become Balearic with leading winds. Onomatopeja is the next cut, with more psychedelic aromas, which gives way to By The Hand, with tropicalia and Funk guitar riffs. An EP of varied sounds, incompatible with boredom, which in its digital version has two bonus tracks. Nawet is the first of them, which starts with another rhythm guitar and a percussive pattern that is later complemented with a cosmic pad to complete one of the most interesting tracks of the release. Parawany is the last of these bonus tracks on the digital edition, somewhat denser and darker, with interesting percussion and space Funk inspiration.
