Marc Romboy has been at the forefront of electronic music for more than two decades, although his beginnings date back to the 1990s, when he founded a modest record label called Le Petit Prince with Klaus Derichs.
Born in Mönchengladbach, Germany, near the Dutch border, he is a DJ, producer and composer, and founder of Systematic Recordings, which celebrates its eighteenth anniversary this year.
Oniris is a Frenchman from the Mediterranean south of his country, who also got his start in music in the late nineties when he organised raves and parties in his area. We have an interview with the French DJ and producer about to be published, in which we will take a look at his professional career.
Following their first joint release on the eagerly awaited Music From Space compilation in October 2021, Marc Romboy and Oniris appear with their second track, First Blush. This time as a solo release with an additional bonus of a remix by Extrawelt.
First Blush was made after Marc Romboy went to the South of France for a studio session at Oniris’ studio early last year. Oniris is a long time friend of Marc, who has previously released on Bedrock, Ovum and of course Astropolis. First Blush is a melodic track that has appeared on many playlists of some well-known DJs in recent months.
And since Marc is a fan of the guys from Extrawelt, it was a no-brainer when they confirmed their remix right away, even though their studio schedule is one of the busiest, as they release an album almost every year.
Extrawelt’s remix of First Blush adds an extra touch to what they are known for and rounds off the package in a perfectly pleasing way.
