Sound Of Berlin | Dani Ramos – Dime Algo EP

Sound Of Berlin | Dani Ramos – Dime Algo EP

Today March 8th in 1051 Magazine we dedicate our space to all women in the world of music on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Daniela Ramos was born in Cali, Colombia in 1988, and already in her childhood, music entered her life when she learned to play the violin. A couple of years ago she said in an interview that “I blame my mother for becoming a DJ, we lived quite far away in the countryside, so every day I took the bus to go to school for an hour and a half and back. What else was I going to do but listen to music?”

He started DJing at a very young age, and soon started DJing in his country, in Medellín, Bogota, Cartagena, and at the age of 23 he opened a session for Luciano. In 2014, already in Berlin, he began studying sound engineering at the SAE Institute and soon after founded Lacroix Studios in the German capital. He has also created the record label La Marquis, so his career is full of facets related to the music business.

In this career, production came for the first time in that intense year 2014, and a couple of years later he released his first track. In this year 2022, Dani Ramos releases a new EP on Sound Of Berlin titled Dime Algo, full of luminous Tech House, with high rhythmic cadence and vocal flashes. A perfect crossover between the cold Berlin and the warm Colombia that results in a direct shot to the dancefloor in the track that opens the EP and gives title to it. To complete the new work of the Colombian is Mutantes, in a similar vein to the previous cut but with an important dose of sonic narcosis that blinds the senses and traps you on the dancefloor.

Sound Of Berlin opens its second year of releases with Dani Ramos, after the release of the compilation released on the occasion of this first anniversary.

Dani Ramos will donate the profits from this EP to humanitarian organisations that are helping in the Ukrainian crisis. Available here
