There have been three volumes of Listen & Nisida Remixes, and the first two featured impressive remix names such as Michael Mayer and Chris Liebing, but the one that has caught our attention the most is the third and final volume of the series, perhaps the most complete overall.

Its author and the person in charge of one of the remixes in this last volume is Anfisa Letyago, who stands out as one of the new key figures in underground dance music. The Naples-based DJ and record producer continues to invite the industry’s most sought-after producers to rework her superb Listen and Nisida EPs, both originally released on her own N:S:DA label in 2021. The label has been home to his powerful style of techno and now invites an expanse of refreshing sounds from across the spectrum with remixes from Closet Yi, DJ Seinfeld and Calibre

 

 

DJ Seinfeld, originally from Malmö, Sweden, shares his remix of Insidia, which embodies the fierce and boundless power of the original, while sharing a brilliant spark of the Swede’s immaculate dancefloor production prowess. Huge tubular bass tones ride over percussive beats and an undulating kick pulse that will be felt from the feet in any club.

Anfisa takes it upon himself to remix his own lead track from the Nisida EP. Bringing broken beats and electro soundscapes to an immaculate sample of her inimitable studio sound.

UK drum & bass legend Calibre provides the third remix in this remarkable final set of remixes. Reese’s huge bass lines and 2-step drum beats bring an authentic British sound. Underground sounds from the master of liquid dnb.

 

 

Finally, Closet Yi shares his truly unique approach to electronic music. Sculpting a sonic landscape with atmospheres that wander along an extended intro into an intricate drum pattern. Splashes of Anfisa’s original vocals whisper through this haunting dubby and techno beat.
