We resume the activity of 1051 Magazine after a month of laziness and a forced break due to all our modifications and improvements.
Nothing better than coming back with this tremendous download of Electro in Detroit style from the hands of Tim Sean-Lee. Veteran dj, born in Heidelberg (Germany) who began his professional career in the booths of the United States in the nineties. Around 2007 he decides to settle down definitively in Berlin, and as a producer he debuts very recently (we covered his first work here, last May, a track in the shared EP Marinair 3).
After having been able to hear his first releases, it is great that he has decided to deliver us his creations as a producer. On this first solo EP, Tim once again digs into retro-futuristic vaults to release three tracks full of high-voltage electro. On this first solo EP, Eruption, Tim once again rummages through retro-futuristic vaults of sound to release three tracks packed with ultra-high voltage Electro. It´s released on Electric Appliances Label, a sublabel of Moodmusic Records.
He opens the fire with Systematic Seduction, where Tim’s dark vocals combine with a minimal base and bass to create a sonic artifact full of energy that will devastate any dance floor. It is followed by Teleportation, with a slightly lower cadence but with a more complex programming in the rhythmic part adorned with cascades of analog sounds. To close the EP the title track, Eruption, with a surgical start in terms of rhythm, which is complemented by an anarchic bass line and a dark and dense feeling.
Let’s hope that Tim Sean-Lee continues to create his own productions and we can hear more of his work. Nowadays, it is not easy to hear good Electro tracks, and the German DJ and producer certainly knows how to make them.
