Vorwärts Musik is an electronic music label based in Germany, near Kassel in the Hesse region. Founded and run by Christian Hacker aka Hackfreed, its aim is to support young talents worldwide.
A young label, it was born in November 2019 and before the end of the year it will publish its 32nd release, which is not bad for a little more than two years of life. And considering everything that has happened in the world over the last two years, it has even more merit to have kept up the pace of its releases, something that shows a tremendous effort to move forward.
In the last few weeks and before the end of the year, Vorwärts Musik has brought us three releases.
The first of them was Novi Sad, by the Parisian The Real Carter, a French DJ and producer who is part of the Orchessons collective, who are agitators and organisers of underground electronic events in the French capital. The Real Carter brings us a House cut that could be classified as Progressive, but which picks up sounds and effluvia from past decades with a perfect result. For remixing duties, who better than label boss Hackfreed, who respects the original to the maximum by applying only rhythmic layers. Novi Sad is available now here.
Just a few days ago, reference number 31, About A Dream, arrived from Germany’s Es.Ka. Melodic track remixed by Italian Yvan Cole (another Vorwärts Musik regular), who gives it an important rhythmic boost, raising the BPM and keeping the melodic patterns of the original. Now available here.
And for the month of December, reference 32 will be released by two regular partners in crime, Hackfreed and the Italian Tonio Piga, better known as DJ Tribe. Dark 2 Light is catchy techno with vocals by Christian, which will be available exclusively on Beatport on 26 November and on all other platforms on December 10th.
