Launch of Sonntagsinstitut as a label with a charity release

Launch of Sonntagsinstitut as a label with a charity release

After more than 5 years of collective work, the Sonntagsinstitut Crew from Berlin creates its own record label with a digital release in solidarity. All proceeds generated by this EP will go to Women in Exile e.V., an initiative of refugee women fighting for their rights.

But not only its purpose is highly interesting, because its content is even more so. The EP offers four tracks and opens with Staubstrahl, an elegant and danceable house track by one of the residents of the Sonntagsinstitut, DJ Hammersmith. Classic, effective house that fills the dancefloor as soon as you hear it. To accompany this more House part of the release comes Danielle Arielli, head of Tooflez Records, who brings Sunday Dancin’, another house cut with Acid beats that take us back to the times of the second summer of love.

On the more Techno side of the EP comes Elad Magdasi with Unicorn, a good dose of direct and hypnotic Techno, without superfluous ornaments but absolutely effective. The EP is completed with another track from Sonntagsinstitut resident Black Mirror Park. Ok, But This Time, is marked by a rhythmic base of complex percussive elements that lead the way to ethereal synth pads running in hypnotic harmony.

Fantastic premiere for Sonntagsinstitut as a record label, complemented by that all-important charitable purpose.
